GLH-2007 Main Prize Winners
Our first prize, an Icom IC-718 HF Base Transceiver, went to Bud Stewart N0KBS from St. Peters, Missouri.
This year's second prize, an Icom IC-2200H 65 Watt 2 Meter Tranceiver, was won by Connie Pollack KD4MDP of Louisville, KY.
Third prize, the Icom IC-V82 2 meter Handheld Tranceiver was won by Larry Coppala K4SFC of Fairdale, KY.
And Ruby Burgess of Louisville won an ARRL Handbook.

GLH-08 Plans Underway!
Once again we're looking forward to another hamfest at Paroquet Springs Conference Centre. Since it worked out so well for everyone last year, we'll be having the tailgating on the left side of the building where there's more room and it's easier access to and from the vendor hall. We will also have volunteers selling tickets outside Saturday morning so there won't be long ticket lines inside at 8am when the doors open.
This year we are thrilled to have a New Hams Forum geared toward newly licensed Amateurs who wants to know more about the exciting world of communications. Why we never thought of this before is amazing - it seems like a no-brainer. Help is always needed to get started and the New Hams Forum will be a great way to learn how much fun Amateur Radio is.
We've been learning alot from each of the shows and hope to make every hamfest a better one. It's a great place to meet old friends and make new ones - to learn from the experienced and to educate the newcomers. Most of all, hamfests are a time to share our radio experiences with each other and actually meet the ham on the other side of the radio face to face.
Our goal this year is to make your hamfest experience and fun one. Hope to see you there!

GLH-2008 Planning Schedule
Our hamfest planning meetings are the second Tuesday of each month, 7:00pm, at the American Red Cross building on Chestnut Street in downtown Louisville. Anyone who wants to help plan and organize this year's hamfest is invited to join the group. We are always open to new ideas to make our hamfest even better!
