Ray Charles was born in Albany, Georgia. He was partially blind at age 5, then became completely blind due to glaucoma at age 7. He studied classical piano and clarinet. He is best known for his songs I Can't Stop Loving You, Hit the Road Jack and Georgia On My Mind.

Aretha Franklin was born in Memphis and raised in Buffalo and Detroit. She's the daughter of a preacher and is considered the All-Time Queen of Soul. Her most popular songs in 1967 were Respect and Chain of Fools.

Of all the recordings here, I think this one is the best!
