This card features the illustration which was created by Haddon Sundblom for The Coca-Cola Company in 1949 and features the Sprite Boy holding the reins of the team while Santa looms over the rest of the dreamlike scene. The Sprite Boy was created by Sundblom and originally used to introduce the brand name Coke in 1942. He wore a soda-jerk's cap to promote fountain sales of Coke and the bottle cap shown in this illustration to advertise bottled Coca-Cola. This was the last year for the Sprite Boy to appear with Santa. After 1958, he would disappear completely.
