Coke arrived in France in 1933, but wasn't widespread until U.S. Troops took Coca-Cola into French territory in 1945. In 1949, the Parisian Company of Aerated beverages was created, the principal dealer of the Coke Company in France. Finally, in 1966, Coke became the most consumed soft drink in France without alcohol. In 1994, they introduced the plastic countour bottle.
