Thirst Asks Nothing More. In 1943, The Coca-Cola Santa shows signs of a country that has gone to war. While the Sundblom Santa himself is only slightly changed from the original 1939 painting, Coca-Cola's own logo has wings. This helps to remind customers of Coca-Cola's support for our troops abroad and at home. The piece shown is a trolley sign, used in trolley cars, buses and subways. Note the unusual comment "On sale at all subway newsstands."
